Mark led the team and the bank (NRB) to achieve significant growth in deposits, loans, Investment, and profitability, by implementing strategic initiatives to improve operational efficiency and good customer service, risk management, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements as well as overseeing financial planning, budgeting, tax planning, and reporting.
Mark Lasite Konlan was appointed as the CEO of the Bank in February 2022. He worked as the Finance and Operations Manager of the Bank from June 2019 and doubled as the acting CEO from August 2021 till his appointment as the substantive CEO of the Bank.
He started his banking career as a Credit Officer with Bessfa Rural Bank Limited in the Upper East Region in March 2010 where he served in various capacities and rose through the ranks to become the Operations Manager of the Bank.
Mark is a Chartered Accountant, Chartered Tax Practitioner, and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG) and an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation Ghana (CITG), he also holds an M.Sc. Accounting and Finance from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (Kumasi), bachelor’s degree in commerce (BCom) from the University of Cape Coast, Higher National Diploma (HND) Accounting Option from Tamale Polytechnic, and Diploma Certificate in Investment Management from Accra Business School (ABS).
